I was reading through one of my threads and I really wanna write tokofem!deku (tokoyami x fem!deku) bc theyre cuties

Tokoyami didn’t really know what to expect on his first day of class at UA, but he certainly didn’t expect to be so, interested, in his classmates.
Well, specifically Midoriya Izuku. Something about her just spoke to him, maybe it was because she too had a hard time controlling her Quirk, just like he did. She was a nervous person, but wasn’t put off by his standoffishness, which made sense when he learned she and Bakugou-
-were, apparently, childhood friends. However, he never even thought about her approaching him... she already made friends with Iida and Uraraka, for what reason would she have to approach him?

He was very embarrassed when she came over to his desk one day.
He had found a particularly pretty, shiny rock on his way to school that day, and couldn’t resist picking it up. He turned it over in his hands, watching with captivating as it glinted in the sunlight.

“What’s that you’ve got there, Tokoyami-kun?” she asked suddenly.
He jumped in surprise, having not even heard her approach, but tried to compose himself.

“Um, i-it’s nothing, just a shiny rock I found,” he explained, his cheeks heating up in embarrassment as he spoke. Damn him giving in to his animal urges. She must think he’s an idiot!
“Oh! May I see?” she asked, cocking her head curiously. His eyes widened in surprise at her question.

“A-are you sure?” he asked.

“Mm, if it’s alright with you,” she nodded.

“Er, a-alright,” he said, nervously handing her the rock he’d found.

“Wow!” she said, eyes going -
-wide in awe. “It’s so pretty!”

“Y-yeah, I thought so too,” he nodded, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.

“You like this stuff, Tokoyami-kun?” she asked him.

“Er, yes,” he admitted. “It’s just because I’m a bird, w-we like shiny things is all,” he shrugged.
She nodded in understanding and, before she could say anything, their teacher walked in, sending them all to their seats. He spent the rest of the day overthinking the entire interaction with Midoriya, convinced she thought he was a total weirdo.
He was very surprised the next day, when she came up to him with an excited look on her face.

“T-Tokoyami-kun!” she called out as she approached him, bouncing with excitement.

“Ah, M-Midoriya, um, did you need something?” he asked, feeling his face heat up under her attention.
“Mm! Yeah! Here,” she said, pulling something small out of her jacket pocket and handing it to him with a wide smile. His eyes widened as he looked down at the shiny coin in her palm. “U-um,” she said, seemingly embarrassed, “y-yesterday, you mentioned that you like shiny things-
-s-so, um, I saw this a-and thought you might like it!” she rambled, her cheeks turning pink the longer she talked. “Um, y-you don’t have to take it, i-if you dont want to,” she said softly.

“N-no! I-I mean, thank you,” he said, taking the coin from her hand. It was very pretty
Very shiny. Even more, she had been thinking of him... “it’s very nice.”

“Ah, I’m glad you like it!” she exclaimed, her face lighting up happily. “I’ll keep an eye out for more shiny things for you!” she said with determination.

“I-I really appreciate it, Midoriya,” he -
-stammered out. “But, I don’t want to be an inconvenience to you.”

“Oh! It’s no inconvenience,” she assured him. “In fact, it’s kinda fun! And it makes you happy, so I’m happy to do it!” she giggled. His cheeks heated up under his feathers as she beamed at him, and his heart-
-pounded in his chest.

“Th-thank you,” he said.

.

After that, Midoriya took to bringing him shiny things at least once a week. It was cute seeing her excitedly bound towards him with a new gift in hand, a smile on her face as she presented it to him.
No one had ever gotten him shinies before, it was touching.
He kept every single one, of course. He took most of them home and put them on his bedside table, but he kept his favorite ones on his dorm room desk. And, of course, he kept the very first shiny she’d ever given him-
-in his pocket, for good luck, of course. He was incredibly embarrassed by that, but he couldnt bear to part with it, not when it was the first gift Midoriya had ever gotten him. He had to keep it with him all the time.

So of course he panicked when he lost it.
He couldnt believe it, he’d /just/ had it! What had he done with it!? He and Dark Shadow began to frantically look for it, for even the Quirk had gotten attached to the item. He didn’t even realize he was on the brink of tears until someone placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Tokoyami-kun?” Midoriya spoke, worry evident in her tone. “What’s wrong?”

“I-I lost it,” he gasped out.

“Lost what?” she asked.

“Th-the shiny you got me, I lost it!” he fretted.

“Huh? Oh! Tokoyami-kun, it’s okay!” she tried to assure him, rubbing her hand up and down his-
-back. “I can get you more, it’s not a big de-“

“It /is/ a big deal!” he interrupted. “It’s not just any shiny, it’s the first one you ever got me! I can’t lose it!” he insisted as he continued to search for it.

“The coin?” she asked in disbelief. “Y-you kept that?”
“Mm,” he nodded, trying desperately not to cry. “I-it’s important to me, and I lost it,” he choked out, hanging his head in sadness and shame.

“... I’ll help you look for it,” she finally spoke. “Where was the last you saw it?”

“I-it was around here somewhere,” he said-
-gesturing to the common room kitchen.

“Mm, alright,” she said as she walked away and began moving things around, looking across the counters and on the ground for the coin. He quickly joined her, his heart pounding as they searched together.

“Ah-hah!” she declared-
-many minutes later. “Found it!” she said, holding the coin up victoriously. Tokoyami and Dark Shadow both let out deep sighs of relief as he walked forward and let her place it back in his hands. “No need to worry anymore.”

“Thank you, Midoriya,” he said as he tightly -
-clutched the coin in his fist.

“Um,” she began, making him look up to see she had flushed cheeks. “I didn’t realize the coin meant so much to you,” she said quietly, making Tokoyami’s face heat up.

“Er, yeah, it um, it means a lot to me,” he said.

“I didn’t know that,” she-
-answered. He nodded, staring down at his feet in embarrassment. She probably thought he was a fucking weirdo now.

“That makes me happy,” she admitted quietly, making him look up at her in surprise. “I-it’s like you have a part of me with you all the time, huh?”
“A-a date!” he shouted, making her eyes widen in surprise as Tokoyami’s feathers stood on end in embarrassment. “P-please, go on a-a date with me.” Her eyes slowly widened in shock at his words, but before he could take them back, she spoke.

“O-okay,” she nodded, a shy smile-
-spreading across her face.

“R-really?” he asked, watching as she looked down at her feet and played with the hem of her shirt in embarrassment.

“Mm,” she nodded. “I-I’d like that, a lot, Tokoyami-kun,” she said, glancing up at him nervously.
“Great!” he said, his voice cracking from nerves. “Ahem, um, great,” he nodded, trying to steal his expression as she giggled at him. “Um, w-want to go out to eat th-this weekend?”

“Mm, sounds good,” she nodded, her freckled cheeks still pink in embarrassment.
