every gaysian writer has done this at least once:
-made a biblical reference
-included a word in their native language and then made it a metaphor
-wrote about how their mother treated them as a child and how they later realized it was her way of expressing love
-wrote about a fruit from their country (includes but is not limited to: persimmons, asian pears, wax apples, durians, and papaya)
-wrote about their father who was largely absent from their life)
-wrote about generational trauma
ok as im writing this thread im realizing that it can apply to first/second generation asian writers as well
