Last time I was up at my Grandad’s he took me aside to show me some stuff he had found in a box in his bedroom. He pulled out two crumpled up rolls of paper to show me Grandma’s qualifications from the 50s. He asked what we should do with them. He didn’t want to chuck them out.
I suggested we frame them and he could hang them in his office with all his awards (he has loads of championship awards from bird shows for his Cocks). We found some frames and I brought everything home. I’ve just finished framing them.
I’m hopeful Grandad lives long enough for me to drop them up to him. I had to do some cropping as the frames were a bit small.
The 50s were wild when the Wellington Chamber of Commerce would award you a qualification for Handwriting.
Please see attached with bonus Murray content.
Wanna be clear I am no expert at framing to begin with let alone framing crumpled up rolled up bits of paper. Just doing a job entrusted to me (for some reason) by my Grandad.
