I don’t want to have to only identify with political systems developed for and by dead white men.

The left erases basically all indigenous societies and tribal governance structures.

I’m not an anarchist, my ideal is my ancestral ways.
What this looks like in today’s society, for me, is preserving sovereignty, interacting with politics as a form of harm reduction, and rebuilding community interdepence, resiliency and sustainability.
There has to be more space to be able to say you aren’t a capitalist, and not have to be immediately shoved into a eurocentric box.
And what it looks like to me, in my dream for this lifetime, is that indigenous people could choose to live sustainable lives, outside of US control, that look more like the lives our ancestors lived.

I’m inspired by people doing this work.
