Inspired by the work of @Worville showing @LFC's age profile over the past few seasons, I tried to recreate his charts for some other competition-winning 🏆 teams over the last few years using #ggplot in #rstats. A thread.

@cavs 2015/16 @NBA season. 9 players had the lion's share of playing time, 8 of them had been at @cavs for at least a year, and they were all at least 24 at the time of the #NBAFinals.đź‘‘ @KingJames here makes me think "peak years" are later in #NBA .

The 2000-to-1 odds 2015/16 @premierleague winners @LCFC. Again, the main 11 were all 24-32, and 7 of them had been there for over a year. The main 11 being so clear shows a good year with injuries. @Mahrez22 carving up doesn't hurt either #epl

2019 @AFL season winning @Richmond_FC. Very clear that @Richmond_FC had lots in their prime & settled in at the club. @JackRiewoldt08 kicked them from everywhere in the #AFLGF. Disappointing for them to maybe miss out on this #AFL year due to the virus.

2019 @NRL winners @sydneyroosters. Good mix of youth, experience, and guns like @jamestedesco93 in the middle in their prime. Largely settled team not new to the club, with a decent injury profile when you consider games missed through rep footy #NRL

If people are interested in learning how I made these, I could make a post✍️ on http://www.mitchhenderson.org , or a YouTube videođź“ą, or both? Or if there's something else you want to learn that I can help with, let me know (DM's open đź“©, slide in).
