The truth is that there are tears all over the world, echoes of history left unresolved, bleeding heartache and hardship into the world again and again.

For those of us who can’t ignore these painful echoes, it can be difficult to cope with their existence enough to fix them, assuming they can be fixed. The games we teach our children are lessons in secret that give us the tools to both see the Tear and find the Weave.

These games give us hope, but more importantly they give us the knowledge of how that hope can give us strength, and where it should be applied to create justice.

Strength without justice is not strength.
Hope without strength is not hope.
