THREAD: This weekend - the relief check is on its way to American bank accounts.

They are going first to those who filed their taxes previously using direct deposit. That way it goes straight to your bank account.
If you haven’t received yours yet, don’t worry: they’re not all going out at once but it should be in by the end of next week.
And if you didn’t do direct deposit, then the government is sending you a check, and that could take several weeks.

(Note: the IRS has not disclosed how long the paper checks will take – but it has been reported the checks will begin first week of May)
Who qualifies?

Nearly 80% of Americans will qualify.

You qualify for $1,200 if you make less than $75,000 a year, or if you’re a married couple making less than $150,000, you qualify for $2,400.

And you get an additional $500 for any kids under 17.
NEW: For people who don’t file taxes because you gross income was under 12,200, the IRS has launched a tool to setup a direct deposit. That’s available at http://IRS.gov .

In the coming days, the IRS will be launching a online tool to check the status of your payment.
Is this enough money?

It’s not… (something about how people are struggling)… but the president has said he’s open to a second round of stimulus checks… it would have to be a deal negotiated with Congress.

Small Business Loans:
PayPal is now partnering to help smaller businesses who don’t use traditional banks.

This is good news for smaller online sellers who use PayPal for payment processing, who feared they wouldn’t get access to the loan.
