I was surprised to see @TheIPA on @ABCTV this morning presenting their view that lockdowns should end to open up the economy. This idea disregards all medical advice saying that lockdowns are preventing spread of #COVID19Aus and preventing deaths.

This is very similar to Nazi Germany's racially based social policy of eugenics: let the weak die for the greater good (in this case, for the economy). This is either misguided and reckless or calculated and evil.

We must not forget lessons learned from history.

Furthermore, how the IPA think that an uncontrolled pandemic spreading death and fear and breaking hospital capacity will be more beneficial for the economy than a lockdown is beyond comprehension.
