That’s an interesting question. Looking at players overall, not necessarily right now or even in recent seasons, I’d say Barcelona has a handful of truly elite players: Suarez, Busquets, Pique, Vidal, Griezmann.

And of course, I say this without defining “elite”. Open to interpretation and not universal, but I mean players who have footballing ability that is topped by very few players, of any, at their position and in their role.

Barca has more than most, despite recent “struggles”.

For Madrid, I’d say Modric, Kroos, Benzema, Carvajal, Ramos, Marcelo, Hazard, Varane, and maybe Casemiro.
