The enemy has been coming really hard at me with discouragement lately, and the Lord revealed that many in the Body are going through the same thing. A lot have been experiencing heartache, loss, and hopelessness in this season, and they’ve had a hard time getting out of it

So why is this happening? Why is the enemy working so hard to discourage? Let’s look at some synonyms first:

Divert, deter, repel, dampen, depress, to steer someone away from an action

Can I tell you something? This is happening to stop you from receiving the joy and peace of Christ. All of this is setup to set you off course, to dampen your spiritual senses, to deter you from God, and to divert you from your purpose. This is INTENTIONAL.

There’s a reason you all of a sudden hate your appearance. There’s a reason you hate your job out of the blue, there’s a reason why you’re dissatisfied with where God has you right now when you were just thanking Him yesterday, it’s all a plan to cause a detour & get you trapped.

So what do you do about it? The Bible says to give thanks always, to pray continually, and to always renew your mind in Christ. Tell the Lord what you’re thankful for, go read the Word. Watch that sermon you’ve been meaning to watch, read that book. Understand that this isn’t you

He is for you and His plans for you are good. He will never leave you or forsake you, you are not alone. He’s right here with you, you are loved, you are seen, and you are cared for. Divert your eyes back to Him tonight and let Him heal your heart. He’s waiting with open arms
