It would be great if there was a political party black people could vote for that would ensure help for our communities. Reality is, vast majority of black households only vote labour cos of the financial positions majority of UK black families are in (1/4)
It’s kinda naive to think that not just black but the BAME community could create a political independent party that could compete and/or trump the labour and Conservative parties respectively considering we don’t even make up to 10% of the UK population (2/4)
So the only alternative which is a sad outcome is hope for a left centralist leader from the Labour Party (seeing as it’s the most accessible) who is politically astute to lead & socially conscious enough to help BAME communities to thrive in this Brexit Britain we live in (3/4)
I’m happy the news has come out regarding the Labour Party. For some reason people genuinely believe the Labour Party isn’t institutionally racist. Just because they are the closest party to us bridging the gap of inequality doesn’t mean the people upstairs aren’t racist (4/4)
