Let's talk about Alfonso Cuaron's masterpiece called Children of Men (1/4):

This is a dystopian story where children are no longer being born for the past 18 years. This is a beautiful film includes amazing character development, immersive action & beautiful cinematography.

Cuarón delivered a story that felt it had an organic flow of events by greatly handling pacing, emotional shifts, visual exposition, stakes & more.

He developed Theo from thinking it's foolish to save humanity to actually risking everything for it.

Lubezki teamed up again with Cuarón to deliver some impeccable scenes that match both of their styles:

- Careful use of natural lighting
- A constantly moving camera
- Inventive wides & viewpoints for an immersive experience

This is a must-watch film if you love great cinematography & character development.

Score: 9/10

PS: This film had one of the most memorable long shots in cinema. The ambush scene is immersive, & handles pacing, emotion & tension like no other.
