Alright, I’m going to do the thread I was hesitant to post this morning. Here we go.

Thread number 3,200,981 on Coronavirus misinformation on social media. 😭

🧵
This video showed up on my discover page on TikTok.

The “secret hours” is what caught my attention. I had to see what else she was posting.
She refers to herself as doctor in this video. That’s a no-no. They have to say “doctor of chiropractic” or something that will not mislead the public into thinking they are a medical doctor.

Notice the username as well.
“I just did a quick Google search of colloidial silver...there was a ton of negative & controversial info about colloidial silver. I had to get to like pg 2 & 3 of Google—who does that?, to find anything positive about colloidial silver.”

Come on lady there’s a reason for that.
My biggest concern with this video:

“Though I have an extensive education in infectious diseases and microbiology, I am still a germaphobe and OCD.”

Lots of other issues in it, too.
Do you think she advises patients to go off medication? Who knows.

What scares me is that she does not have the appropriate training to determine if someone should go off of medication.

Plus, it’s a blanket statement.
As someone who occasionally suffers from migraines, I’ll tell that all I want when it happens is Excedrin migraine and a quiet, dark room.

Doterra, a cooling mask, a chiro visit, spine adjustment, and “nervous system training” wouldn’t be helpful.

Again, “doctor” in this vid.
“It measures heat...That scanner will measure nervous system waves.” 🤔
Can someone explain what she’s viewing on the monitor? I just see a lot of squiggly lines.
I know you’re going to be angry with this person, @gorskon.

I hope you’ll at least consider my usual request that people critique the content, not the individual. 🙏
Next person is a medical doctor.

He’s posted a lot of videos that I think might be problematic, but I don’t have the context or background in STEM/medicine to responsibly share an opinion on that content.

Going to focus on what I’m comfortable describing.
