Today has been interesting. Got here, saw a mention from Bello and casually replied without checking the context from the other tweets in the thread. If I'd seen the context, I would never have replied to or endorsed the tweet. I've since apologised for the reply, and deleted it

I'm a proud Igbo man. Unapologetically proud of my identity. Anyone who knows me, knows that. I also understand that Nigeria is diverse and every ethnic group is unique. I have friends - really good and loyal friends - from many other ethnic groups in Nigeria.

I didn't denigrate Igbos. If my reply came off as that, it was not my intention. I've never even denigrated another ethnic group, let alone mine. Of course I also am against the use of slurs against groups, be it ethnic or religious.

I didn't start my day with any intention of offending anyone. I'm sorry for the offense my tweet caused many. Forgive me. I started today with wishing you all a Happy Easter. I leave you with same: a very Happy Easter to you and yours.
