Alright so @ComicPerch mentioned that he finds it odd that the team isn't really interested in launching Comic Careers and we've been more of a "Meh, shrug we told our story we're good."

Well personally, I think this is a great interview question, but I'll do this thread:
1) Money - Pretty much as we watch the industry collapse upon itself and we've realized many a thing. The industry doesn't pay nearly enough for things such as health insurance (how many creators died last year due to medical issues and to use gofundmes? The money just aint there
2) Crowdfunding - We (mostly me) aren't HUGE fans of that whole crowdfunding song, dance and hoopla. As a guy who works pretty much 2-3 jobs full time, that whole youtube / con circuit isn't appealing. Too much room for failure and missteps.
3) and this is the REAL crux of it all. What could we bring to characters like Spidey, Batman, Superman, the X-men, Avengers...etc that would ACTUALLY matter. I mean look DC and Marvel erase and retcon everything withing a few years. So what could I bring to the table that -
Could be both meaningful and long lasting? Taking Spidey as an example the best I could do is retcon One-More-Day, curate the number of "Spiders" in the universe to something more manageable and then what then? Event or another write'll retcon that years later and then-
ALL that work would effectively be for nothing. Which, is the reason why I think Manga is haaving much more of an impact on things. The stories matter. The deaths matter. The relationships matter. I'm interested in stories that MATTER. So the best way I can think of doing that -
Is by writing and creating my own. They might not be popular. But they'll matter. They might not hit HUGE crowdfunding numbers. But they'll matter. One day, 30years from now, someone will pick up RAGS read through the story and be uplifted and THAT is really the focus I have.
Not politics or anything weird or funny. Just telling a story that's going to have a lasting impact and not just retconned for the sake of having another #1.
I want to create stories that pull no punches and yet can still touch you.
