The thing I don’t understand is what, in 2020, the Labour right actually want

People are saying “power” and “jobs” and stuff, but I don’t get it. Politics is horrible and vicious and paints a target on your back. I can’t imagine getting involved if you don’t have policy goals you strongly believe in. Go pursue literally any other prestigious career

And let’s be real, if you were 100% ruthlessly committed to gaining power and influence you would just join the Conservatives because they win most elections. Maybe it’s that the Blair years made Labour look like the solid career choice? Still doesn’t make much sense to me
