I’m not gonna lie. People obsess about fandoms way too much on this site.
Yes all fandoms have that section of terrible people that deserved to get called out on their bad behavior. But after a while we should just let it go somewhat and get back to enjoying what we like about these series that spawned these fandoms.
If we only focus on the bad of every fandom, then we’ll never get to talk about the good about the different series we enjoy. There isn’t some contest or prize to be won from being the least toxic fan base.
Let’s just accept the fact that there’s a small batch of bad apples in each fandom, proceed to mostly ignore them and only interact with them when necessary, then we can talk about the good times we’ve had talking with others in a fandom so we don’t create a slog of daily misery.
