Here’s what I believe today. Death can come in many forms. Robbing folks of their purpose, passion, position, death can make one question their worth, question their impact & contribution to this world, & convince themselves they are separate, alone, unworthy, & excluded.

Death can depress, can addict, can make anxious, can make poor choices, can make greedy, can shame...death can steal life, can steal joy, can steal relationship, can create void.

But death, in all these forms and more, can be conquered.

And not only with faith or belief, but with opportunity, grace, systemic and structural change, and with a violent and demanding confrontation of the status quo - so much so that it’s nearly impossible to believe.

Death can be overcome.

And with that, every...single...human...being should be afforded the opportunity defeat death,

whatever it may be to them individually, and by grace, mercy, and commitment to change, be given new life, new hope, and be celebrated and revered by a society that recognizes the real meaning of resurrection.
