HOLLYWOOD CONSPIRACY THEORIES — #1: 27 CLUB🎤🎬📜💉⚰️
TW!

Pretty dark and scary (this thread gets into topics like suicide, murder, drug use, black magic, etc.), click off if you’re too sensitive.
I would just like to remind you that these are not facts. These are just conspiracy theories that are not meant to disrespect anyone. This thread was created for entertainment purposes only! I will talk about these theories briefly, not in much detail (google for more).
I will start off by explaining what the 27 Club is. The 27 Club includes many popular musicians, artists, actors, and athletes who have died at age 27, often as a result of drug and alcohol use, abuse or violent means such as homicide, suicide, or transportation related accidents
There have been many theories about the causes of such early deaths and their possible connections. The number of musicians who died at 27 is truly remarkable. Theories include one that we will talk about today, and that is that the artists have “sold their souls to the devil”.
Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison died at the age of 27 between 1969 and 1971. At the time, the coincidence gave rise to some comment, but it wasn’t until Kurt Cobain's 1994 death, at age 27, that the idea of a "27 Club" began to catch the public’s eyes.
The response to an interview of Kurt’s mother were responsible for such theories. Part from a statement that Wendy Fradenburg Cobain O'Connor, made in the The Daily World newspaper—"Now he's gone and joined that stupid club. I told him not to join that stupid club."
In 2011, seventeen years after Cobain's death, Amy Winehouse died at the age of 27, prompting a renewed swell of media attention devoted to the club once again. Three years earlier, she had expressed a fear of dying at that age.
The 27 Club is talked about in the industry a lot. Many modern music artists mention it in their music. Here are some examples.:
The song title "27" by Fall Out Boy is a reference to the club. The song explores the hedonistic lifestyles common in rock and roll. Pete Wentz, the primary lyricist of Fall Out Boy, wrote the song because he felt that he was living a similarly dangerous lifestyle.
The song "Colors" by Halsey references the club with the lyric, "I hope you make it to the day you're 28 years old".
"Uno" by Rex Orange County refers to the club in the last line of the song: "And every now and then I think about the fact that I'd become a legend if I died at 27."
Juice WRLD mentions the club on his song "Legends" where he says "What's the 27 club? We ain't making it past 21." Song was dedicated to rappers XXXTentacion, who died at 20, and Lil Peep, who died at 21. Juice WLRD died at the age of 21 (deaths that also have theorists talking).
Now let’s take a look at what a “Deal with the Devil” is. A deal with the devil, is a cultural motif in European folklore, best exemplified by the legend of Faust and the figure of Mephistopheles, as well as being elemental to many Christian traditions.
According to traditional Christian belief about witchcraft, the pact is between a person and Satan or a lesser demon. The person offers their soul in exchange for diabolical favours. Those favours vary by the tale, but tend to include youth, wealth, fame, or power.
The bargain is considered a dangerous one, as the price of the Fiend's service is the wagerer's soul. The tale may have a moralizing end, with eternal damnation for the foolhardy venturer.
The person making the pact sometimes tries to outwit the devil, but loses in the end (e.g., man sells his soul for eternal life because he will never die to pay his end of the bargain. Immune to the death penalty, he commits murder, but is sentenced to life in prison).
The pact can be either oral or written. An oral pact may be made by invocations, conjurations, or rituals to attract the demon; once the conjurer thinks the demon is present, they ask for the wanted favour and offers his/her soul in exchange, and no evidence is left of the pact.
A written pact consists in the same forms of attracting the demon, but includes a written act, usually signed with the conjurer's blood (although sometimes it was also alleged that the whole act had to be written with human blood; some defended the idea of using animal blood).
The theory of the 27 Club’s connection to Deals with the Devil comes from the Robert Johnson legend from the early 20th’ century. Robert Johnson was an American blues singer, songwriter and musician. His recordings display singing, guitar skills, and songwriting.
He was instructed to take his guitar to a crossroad near Dockery Plantation at midnight. There he met the Devil who took the guitar and tuned it. The Devil played it and then returned the guitar to Johnson. In exchange for his soul, Johnson became famous.
In August 1938, just a few months after his 27th birthday, Johnson made moves on the wife of the owner of a roadhouse where he was playing, drank from an open bottle of whiskey he was offered, and died three days later of strychnine poisoning and pneumonia.
Basically, the theory goes, that many of the world known people have sold their souls to the devil in exchange for fame and fortune, but died at the age of 27. Even though these deaths are usually suicides or accidents, some things surrounding their deaths don’t usually add up.
Theorists claim that the celebrities became severely depressed after their realization of what they’ve done and how it couldn’t be fixed, and that’s why some committed suicide. Some theorists believe, that the deaths at the age of 27 are a part of the deal.
Thank you all for baring with me. Once again, these are all just THEORIES, NOT FACTS. My love and prayers go out to the deceased ones and their families, they are all missed. If you liked my first Hollywood Conspiracy Theory thread, be sure to follow, like and retweet for more.
