OK! I keep getting an ask from folks who are reading through the lockdown: Which book of yours should I read first? My answer has generally been, "IDK, what kinda stuff do you like?" because my writing is all over the place. But here is a quick summary, if that helps instead.
So, I write short stories, and I write novels in series. *Can* I write a standalone? Sure. But fantasy readers tend to prefer series (there's financial evidence of this), and I can write series, so I do. So obvs, first books of each series work best. Let's consider those next.
I have 4 series starters out now! First books:

1. THE HUNDRED THOUSAND KINGDOMS (start of the Inheritance Tril)
2. THE KILLING MOON (start of the Dreamblood Duol)
3. THE FIFTH SEASON (start of the Broken Earth Tril)
4. THE CITY WE BECAME (start of the Great Cities Tril)
What are they about?

1. The Inheritance Trilogy: Secondary world based on various mythologies. Human beings get dragged into the dysfunctional family dynamics of both a powerful human clan, and a bunch of pissed-off gods. Not recommended for people who hate god sex.
2. The Dreamblood Duology: Secondary world loosely based on ancient Egypt. Devout magical ninja priest discovers somebody in his government is shady. Then! Devout magical doctor discovers a plague has been loosed upon the land, aided by shitty politicians. Uh, so... yeah.
3. The Broken Earth Trilogy: Secondary world inspired by extinction level events, geophysics, various histories of oppression, and Dragon Age! Middle aged woman copes with all of the above. Not recommended for caretakers of young children. Rocks fall, a whole lotta people die.
4. The Great Cities Trilogy: Unfinished as yet! Set in modern day NYC, which comes to life and lays claim to a handful of ordinary(?) people as its avatars. They fight <strike>crime</strike> Cthulhu! Not recommended for people who hate New York.
But wait, there's more! I also write short fiction, and I've published a whole collection of it called HOW LONG TIL BLACK FUTURE MONTH, including snack-size tasters of most of the above-named series. Not recommended for people who hate, oh, anything. Just don't be a hater.
Also, I now have a side hustle as a comic book writer! FAR SECTOR is a Green Lantern book coming out now from DC's Young Animal label. An ex-cop from Brooklyn tries to solve a mystery and stop a weird "emotion drug" epidemic innnn spaaaaace. Amazing art by @_pryce14.
