A big tip you've heard often about success is finding mentors..

So this a thread that will give you some guidelines on....

HOW TO GET A MENTOR IN YOUR INDUSTRY.

To start, you have to get your mindset fixed...

What do I mean?

When looking for a mentor...

The last thing you want to do is ask to be mentored...

Things like...

"Please mentor me"

"I would like you to be mentor me"

Mentors take their time seriously...

Asking for a mentorship is good way to NEVER get mentored in a field.

Which brings me to the next point....

2) If you want to be mentored, you have to show that you're worth it...

Understand this, mentorship like any other is a relationship...

And for a relationship to work your mentor has to Know Like and Trust you just as your audience would...

So how do you apply KLT principle?

3) By leading with Value...

This could be through...

- An honest review.

- Offering to something for free in exchange for field experience .

- Connecting them to someone or something that is on their mind

Next up are guidelines to guide you through the whole process....

When you first meet a mentor either online or offline...

ASK for a little advice...

Then whatever you're told make sure you do it...

Dont argue, Don't complain. Just make sure you do what you're told and report back with results.

Keep doing this until a relationship is built

- Make sure you're knowledgeable to a large extent and you're an action taker.

- It's a numbers game so dont go for one mentor. Go for seven or more.

- Always impact into your mentor's life. The mentorship should be beneficial to the both of you.

- Be humble and loyal.

Always remember that any form of mentoring starts from the mentee...

And you MUST always lead with value.

To sum it all up.....
