A look at how Mike Trout’s signature has changed throughout the years....

2009

Playing in the minors. No “27” yet.
2010. Still in the minors. No number added.
2011. Basic design stays the same but 27 is added to the end of the sig. MLB debut in September.
2012. Mike starts to connect the M and the T while adding lengthy part to the bottom of the T.
2013

It basically stays the same but the length of the T is less. 27 still added to the end of the auto but no longer underlined.
2014 it starts to get a little sloppy because he is signing so much. In this pic the M has an extra swoosh and the T is not connected. Also, he has started to curl the beginning of the M.
2015

The M and the T start to intersect for the 1st time. The auto itself gets shorter and more condensed. This will begin to be a theme.
2016

M and T continue to cross each other but the auto is clear and still has the 27.
2017

The auto remains pretty consistent with 2016. This is a dual do the auto is squeezed in a little more than usual.
2018 is where it starts to really change. Mike drops the 27 and does this squiggly line at the end of the T.
2019

We get more of the same. A bit streaky because he’s hurrying to sign a lot of cards and the 27 is still missing.
