Nigerians are such hypocrites! That's why we are where we are.
See how people are pretending about the "aboki" word?
Today in many northern society "Iyamiri" has been normalised to mean an Igbo person, does that change the fact that at some point it was an insult to Igbo?

Few years ago, Hausa people stopped getting angry over the phrase "Malo man," it became another normalised phrase. What's the origin?
Or even the word "Yare", "Kabila", "Arne" and the very many condescending words the Hausa man uses for others.

We have all these adjectives we throw around to make each other feel less human. That a group decided to come to accept it even when it is still used to look down on them doesn't change the fact there in.
Gimba doesn't pretend. Abuse him all you want.

He mixes up, he sees you use these words, maybe in some cases harmlessly, but today he decided to talk about it and all of a sudden y'all are telling us about EDUCATION & EXPOSURE? Writing epistles about what Enlightenment is? You overrate yourselves a lot.
Stop deceiving yourselves. Take time and reflect, you're as shitty as the man next door and quite frankly, we deserve one another.

......North as some dumb group of people who shouldn't understand when they are insulted. A sophisticated South & a Not so brilliant North.
I've heard sentences like "you Ibrahim, you nor de behave like other abokis", and you tell me you don't mean it in some bad way? Haba na.

I've had to tackle the North several times here for words like Arne, Yare, Kafiri, Kabila and other excesses towards those perceived as lesser humans. I know how many of you gather under such threads to praise " Umar" for "saying the truth"

.

I remember that Legit news quote: "Muslim man bla bla bla".
Now you are faced with some truth and it becomes a problem? Abegi......!
Again, you overrate yourselves if you can't face these discussions without sounding like life is being sniffed out of you.

If you call me stupid, I reserved the right to insult your papa, mama, pikin, wife and anyone/anything I find that will hurt you enough to not repeat that again, or I can choose to overlook as I'm wont to always do here.
So if insult hurts, learn not to start it.
So if insult hurts, learn not to start it.
If you don't have thick skin for insult, don't even throw the least offensive word at someone else, or better still stay of certain mentions.
I avoid commenting on certain TLs, no matter how noble their trends, because I don't want to overrate myself around them.

Again, learn to pick your fights and save us all this cry of victimhood. Emotional blackmail will never help you out of your self inflicted injury.
