A woman came up to me after a speech awhile ago, one who very obviously fashioned herself the wokest of the woke, and suggested I wear pants instead of a dress next time so I& #39;d be more comfortable. During the speech, I shifted around a lot as I often do because of my fibromyalgia
I just get random pains all the time so I cross and uncross my legs, readjust, etc. I& #39;ve always found it funny though that the well-meaning if not performative woman thought she accounted for everything. Not that she& #39;s wrong to try, but nobody wears know-it-all well
FWIW, it doesn& #39;t bother me - In the process of getting my 5+ autoimmune diagnosis, I had friends, doctors and others doubt that there was anything wrong, suggesting I jUsT wAnTeD tO sKip ScHoOl [one of whom I helped during their diagnosis process years later], so more amusing
