"male socialization" is TERF propaganda and if you repeat it uncritically, regardless of who you are, you perpetuate harm willingly, and that's all I've got to say on lefttube today or any day.

Gendered socialization is a thing, in fact. What it is not is "you were raised as a male" or some bullshit, though. It's a personal expression like all gendered things tend to be. You don't tell a woman she's a woman because she got female socialization; that is ludicrous.

It is equally ludicrous to say trans women received "male socialization" for the same reasons; they are not men, and the gendered socialization they did receive didn't match their gender in the first place and is often failed to be met or actively rejected.

If saying someone is a woman because they received female socialization is ludicrous, it is equally ludicrous to say a woman is or isn't a woman based on receiving non-female socialization.

So don't refer to other people like that. Thanks.
