1/8 @Covid19 is horrible & horribly #contagious. But not as contagious as #Love. The #virus can be on some objects for 72 hours, love lingers in some objects for years - even centuries. The virus is passed by #contact, love is not limited to that: a smile or wave will do it!

2/8 The #virus can live on paper for a time; love can live on paper for a lifetime. The virus can linger briefly in the air after a person #coughs, breathes or speaks; love can surround a person their whole life from just three spoken words.

3/8 The #virus can transmit if we get closer than 2 #metres, love can pass through window glass, down phone lines, in the air... it can cross oceans, countries, #hospital wards, time & space. It can move between hearts without a word, touch, or even line of sight.

4/8 Love is even more invisible than #Covid29, yet its effects are more widespread & longer-lasting. #Viruses #mutate: Love is also infinitely #adaptable, finding ways of bypassing touch, presence, contact...& still getting through.

5/8 Love is patient in #lockdown & kind in #queues. It does not envy others' instagram-perfect lockdown moments, it does not boast of its own, it is not proud of its skills, homemaking or #technological advantages, it is not rude to #exhausted #keyworkers doing their best...6

6/8 ...it is not #stockpiling - I mean, self-seeking- it keeps no record of its neighbours' #infringements. Love does not delight in profiteering fake #cures & #scams but rejoices with the #Truth. It always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. #LOVE NEVER FAILS....

7/8 At the start, I was a child: grabbed up #resources like a child, #whinged like a child, was relieved 'it'll just kill the old & sick' like a child: now I am trying to put away childish things. For now we see in part, via the wonky window of internet & 'people like us' & news:

8/8 Later we will see the whole. Now we are #advised & advise in part, but later when we know more we will all do better, knowing both our own value & the value of others. For now, faith, hope & love remain: these 3. & the greatest of these is #LOVE. @chelmsdio @DisabilityJ
