The only argument I can think of to vote for Joe Biden is that, in theory, a Biden administration would be possessed of some measure of greater competence and less malice such that our country could manage a pandemic better.

I can't think of another one.

I certainly can't think of an ethical argument or one that benefits anyone I know or even myself in any way other than a short-term alleviation of relative suffering.

I'm not even sure it's better in the long-run, horrifyingly.

Basically, would a Biden Presidency buy us enough time to do more foundational work to prepare for the ramifications of a worse fascist backlash than what we'd experience with four more years of Trump in the immediate future?

I don't know.

I don't think anyone does.

You CANNOT compare the two 1:1. It's definitely true to say a Biden administration would be less actively malicious and less actively disastrous.

That's so low a bar as to be irrelevant, it's also a question of active versus passive harm.

It's a question of tactics.
