She was like 5 hours late BUT when she came she told all of us in line that she brought Krispy Kreme donuts. And she did. Her ppl passed out hundreds of donuts to everyone. Lol
But when I tell u NYC SHUTDOWN that day. It SHUT. DOWN. MC was booked on every damn show, event, and experience throughout. Say what you want but Marvett and Benny DID THAT.
Also another funny story from that week...MC wasn’t living in her infamous apt at this time cuz she had water damage and needed to temporarily stay at a hotel in midtown.
So later that week when she released the album and sales looked like it was a HIT her team threw her a huge party. Anyway I went to her hotel and waited for her to come back.
She came back and was drunk af Lmao. She saw me (and like three other ppl) and promised us she would come back down and say hi to us. She never made it back down BUT she told her driver to go to corner store and buy us hot choc & more donuts.
She then had him bring up our albums for her to sign. And of course she signed every single one.
This is always my go to story when ppl don’t know what type of woman Mariah is to her fans.
