The only upside I can see to the ~~bizarre~~ shock and public grief that some are displaying about the DSA’s completely unsurprising refusal to endorse a candidate who doesn’t at all share their views is that people recognize the DSA is increasingly discursively important. Cool.
I am not a member of the DSA and don’t see myself joining because I don’t join ideology-based organizations, even when I agree with their current agenda.

But I think DSA is doing important work mobilizing people and advocating for lifesaving structural changes.
I believe people should respect that DSA’s mission is emphatically not to co-sign whatever ridiculous shit the Democrats get up to, and they cannot continue to play the role of mobilizing people and advocating for radical lifesaving agenda if they start rubber stamping the Dems.
So, people need to respect that the DSA operates outside the Dems and *this is a good thing*.
I’m also a rape survivor who will be voting for Biden because I think strategically that’s the best thing when it comes to holistically minimizing harm.

But if you’re not prepared to do that?

Great, I’ve got some Senate, state and local races to tell you about!
Jaime Harrison is taking on Lindsey Graham in SC.

Charles Booker is taking on Mitch McConnell in KY.

Sara Gideon is taking on Susan Collins in ME.

Stephen Smith is taking on Jim Justice in WV.
Here in NH, my house rep Chris Pappas faces a tough re-election fight.

NH Dems will need support challenging Governor Sununu. (They have a ridiculously late nominating primary, sadly ...)
