I have a close friend who's a snr executive in a very prosperous company, he was promoted by several bands within 5yrs. The next employee below him was about 6 bands away from him. Why is this?
Apparently, this is a common practice in Nigeria.

Rather than employ more people to fill the bands in between, my friend tries to fulfil the roles of all the bands without assistance and gets paid a lot of ₦millions.

This is a crazy practice on many levels:

1. It keeps unemployment high
2. It encourages greed & elitism
3. Being overworked will impact efficiency adversely
4. It breaks homes as working late keeps oga and secretary together until late. U know what happens.

Crazy, crazy, crazy.
