There's a group of boda boda operators that don't transport anything legal. Used to transport chang'aa now they've majored in transportation of pigs.

They're never interested in normal goods or carrying people because it simply doesn't pay like carrying illegal goods like pigs which aren't usually put in a crate.

Thing is though, carrying pigs is a gamble. If the pig dies it becomes the rider's and he has to compensate the owner. Since apparently they die more when transported when it's hot, they're usually transported early morning.

Sometimes the pig is placed on the motorbike then covered with grass to conceal it. The riders don't stop for police.
If not covered, sometimes they'll have someone sit on the pig, a passenger, with a knife, ready to stab anyone that approaches.

These specialized boda boda operators also transport pineapples stolen from Del Monte farms. Anything legal doesn't interest them.
