i have one thing to say then i will never talk about this again: if you used my name in your writings about what happened, you did put me in further danger. you proved that twitter actually doesn't care about mental health, it's just talk.
You could've written your pieces without using my name. Except one publication (Longreads), no one asked my permission. I was suffering in the hospital and had to deal with emailing editors to remove my name, some still haven't. It was ugly and exploitative.
You have no idea how hard it is to be in hospital for trying to end your life and get google alerts talking very explicitly about your suicide attempt. You couldn't even wait a week. I could barely stand up for 2 days and yet had to delete hate emails everyday because of you.
You should've given me time to heal. I was just a random 20 something on internet with a blog, I wasn't the news, that idiot Guns Akimbo guy was. I wasn't anyone important. Because of you, everyone in my life found out I attempted suicide.
Some of these writers were people who followed me, met me in real life. They knew that just two weeks before what happened, I was in psych ward for self harm, they knew I had a history of attempted suicide.
And finally, just for the record, I did not know director of Guns Akimbo, he is obviously an idiot and his harassment of people was wrong and ugly.
That's all.
