Chatted to my Nanny about her experience of life in Nazi Germany- the bombing of Hamburg, evacuation to Prussia, siblings in the Hitler youth, the SS & being liberated by a Scottish solider.

For years my Nanny has been ashamed of her past and experience because she is German, this is certainly proving that people do want to hear the experience of Germans during the war
