We& #39;ve seen documents revealing how the American big data firm Palantir and British AI company Faculty are helping build an "unprecedented" UK government database to help respond to the coronavirus outbreak. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/12/uk-government-using-confidential-patient-data-in-coronavirus-response">https://www.theguardian.com/world/202...
As well as so-called "aggregate data", documents suggests firms are processing large volumes of data pertaining to individuals, Covid-19 test results, the contents of people’s calls to the NHS health advice line 111 and clinical information about those in intensive care.
Data is also being used by Faculty to build predictive computer models around the Covid-19 outbreak. Documents suggest one such model – which Faculty& #39;s lawyers said never took place – was listed as “targeted herd immunity”. Dated around March 23.
