Good day, Chester!

So there is no one consecrated way you can study the Bible. The embodiment of the scriptures is Jesus, and so if you want to study the Bible you need to first and foremost know Jesus for yourself.
How can know Jesus for yourself?

You can know Jesus for yourself when you have His spirit. The Bible says in John 16:13 that His spirit guides into all truth and understanding. It is only by the spirit of God that you can understand God. There is no other way.

So start of by asking Him for His spirit.

You need to do this so that when you pick up the Bible to read He begins to uncover certain mysteries hidden in His word. For a start everything may seem jambled up but don’t stop. Be consistent in reading and keep praying.

We will advise you get yourself a devotional guide. Some good ones are Our Daily Bread, Our Daily Manna, Living Word. Basically the devotional guide as the name suggests will guide you through the days, giving you a focus scripture each day for your consumption.

4/
Also you probably have a Bible already but we’ll suggest that for better understanding and insight, you ready the same scripture from several other versions like Good News, New King James, Amplified, The Passion Translation, etc. YouVersion Bible App can sort you out here!

This will help you appreciate scripture better. Also make it a point habit to be taking notes as you read. Go back to these notes and meditate on them for better understanding.
