Words cannot descibe how frustrating it is that "stop playing politics" has just become the standard response to any criticism of government. As though politicians making political decisions through the political system is somehow not actually a political issue.

To all those who also say "now is not the time" : when is the time then? Be specific. How long do we have to wait before we can criticise decisions taken by people in power that affect the lives and livelihoods of millions of people? Do we wait until people have stopped dying?

Do we wait until the economic effects have been mitigated? Do we have to wait until the traumatic effects of this are no longer felt by individuals? When can we hold them to account? When are we allowed to challenge? When when when????
