Hey everyone, I hope you're all staying healthy out there! I know a lot of people have a lot of time to kill at home, so here are some gaming videos I've seen in recent days/weeks that I really enjoyed but haven't gotten much exposure. Check this thread out & shares appreciated!
First off is a video from @Ultrahealthyvi1 about Time Diver Avenger, an unreleased game that found new life as a bootleg...or WAS it indeed a bootleg? Great coverage of unlicensed games in here, too--a topic I'm really interested in but not really wise to.
And on the topic of unreleased games, @jenovi has recently been, well, releasing more videos on the topic again. Here's the latest, a second vid on unreleased Virtual Boy games!
My pal @denNESdanMAKU, has been making a great effort producing videos in English, despite him being a very German Kraut. Here's one about some great Japan-only titles, it's a good thing the video is great as well. Thanks for the shout-out, too!
If you need even more Japanese game recommendations, everyone's favorite indie game dev and Polymega shill, @_Sarumaru, has put together a long video of 21 of his mini reviews. I love many of the games featured, and I love ol' Saru (sorry Jesse).
My bald brother @RewindMike put some major passion and effort into his last video, a retrospective on beat 'em ups. Seriously, it needs more views. If you haven't seen it, I will beat you up. Seriously.
My friend who is in no way a Russian bot @St1ka recently did a review on "Gourmet Warriors," an English release of one a game I'm a pretty big fan of, Gurume Sentai Barayarou! It's oddly fascinating and fascinatingly odd.
My buddy @dyhptg put out a video in his Gaming Linguistics series, in pursuit of finding the "correct" pronunciation of Konami's legendary shooter, Gradius. A pretty interesting premise for a series, right? Anyway, I'm a bigger Tifa fan than him.
And I think I'll wrap up this thread here, I've posted too much, I'm afraid. Check out my friend @space_asylum's borderline experimental channel dedicated to studying for the Japanese N1 test...here's a pretty interesting starter vid, Japanese craigslist:
