Today a Hausa person called me "Shegiya Inyamiri" - Igbo bastard

Since everyone has decided to be mental and elevate Aboki (friend) into "Nigger", let us talk about how many Hausa and Fulani people casually call Igbo people Inyamiri, a mockery of thirsty Igbos in the Biafran war
Inyamiri is a mispronunciation of Nyem mili / Nyem miri which means "Give me water".

In the Biafran War, Igbo people were dispossessed and run out of Hausa lands where they had been living peacefully and prosperously before.

Hausas mocked them while they begged for water.
It's the equivalent of if we forced northerners into a siege and they were starving to death and thirsty, and we decided to nickname them Samuruwa or Baniruwa while we watched them die with glee.

So, to act all this drama over Aboki, a neutral and even friendly term is gross.
That's not what Ofe manu means.

Ofe - soup.
Manu - oil, specifically palm oil, but any oil in general.

Igbo people are literally saying Yoruba people tend to make soup with a lot of oil.
