On 6 Oct 2018 exactly 1 year 6 months & days ago @JandKBank issued a notification inviting applications for the posts of Probationary Officers (250) and Banking Associates (1200) with a last date of 10 Nov 2018. The exam fees for PO was Rs 1000 & for BA it was Rs 800.

Around 1.5 Lac applications are received by @JandKBank for these 1450 posts. Meanwhile aspirants start preparing for the exams joining different coaching centers in and outside the erstwhile state of J&K. Candidates like me even left their private jobs to grab this opportunity.

It is important to mention that the whole process was being conducted under the aegis of @Ibpsexam in association with @TCS. After postponing the exams due to various reasons the PO Prelims is finally slated for 22nd April 2019 and that of BA's from 24th to 26th April 2019.

On 3 May 2019 @JandKBank comes out with another notice titled "Caution Notice" boasting about the transparency of the whole process and also informing the candidates the merit list for the BA's will be finalized by @Ibpsexam itself and not by the Bank, however for that of PO's

the candidates had to pass the Mains and then the interview. Also the notice cautioned candidates for not falling prey to any dubious agencies/ individuals giving them assurances to get them appointed against large sums.

On 9 May 2019 @JandKBank announced the result for the PO Prelims as per district wise merit. In a couple of days candidates from some districts opposed the same as there had been a higher cut off in their districts as compared to other districts.

Facing protests from these candidates & on the directions of the then Guv of erstwhile state Shri Satyapal Malik @JandKBank's the then chairman @ParvezAhmed112 announced a uniform cut-off across the state terming that as a relaxation policy.

After settling the whole issue the mains exam (tier-2 of the 3-tier exam) for the PO post is scheduled to be held on 17 June 2019. Meanwhile their is a change of guard in @JandKBank and Shri R K Chibber takes charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank.

The Prelims exams for PO is successfully conducted by @Ibpsexam and @TCS with test centers set up not only in the erstwhile state of J&K but in other states as well.

With candidates now waiting or the final selection list of BA's and the interview qualification list of PO's the bank updates the candidates as "Results Coming Soon". Then arrives Aug 5 2019 which everyone knows about but as soon the communication blockade ends

@JandKBank's chairman Shri R K Chibber through various forums be it Television, Radio or Newspapers would assure the candidates that the results will be declared very soon. On one such occasion while talking to Radio Kashmir said "As soon as the internet is restored the results

will be declared". After that in a detailed interview with @GreaterKashmir on 27 Dec 2019 He said "The Recruitment stands valid even today. @Jandkbank has already spent time and money. We have spent 20 crores on the process even the candidates have spent their valuable time."

Shri R K Chibber goes on to add that "This time we are short of time and are facing dearth of staff . So, we shall be prioritizing efforts to issue selection list of both PO's and BA's to match our expansion plans"

After repeated assurances till 27th Feb 2020 the Principal Secretary Planning & J&K admin’s spokesman, Shri @kansalrohit69 informs the media in a press conference that the recruitment process of 250 PO's and 1,200 BA's for has been scrapped by SAC citing “legal infirmities”.

Imagine the plight of the candidates who have worked hard and rightly according to Shri R K Chibber have invested their time for the whole process but now are left high & dry, that too at a time when the world is battling #COVID19.

This unilateral, untimely and illogical decision of the SAC has miamed the hopes of thousands of aspirants, and a no. of them have crossed the age barrier of various other exams. So technically it was their one last chance but alas that also remains dashed as of now.

Since then the candidates have been protesting in both the divisions of the UT of J&K, asking the UT administration to Roll Back/ Revoke The #SAC decision and asking the @JandKBank admin to publish the selection lists of both Banking Associates and Probationary Officers @diprjk

Now we the aspirants request the authorities to kindly relook decision, declare the results & not dash the hopes of 1.5Lac aspirants. #wewantjkbankresults
