The goal of social distancing is NOT to save lives from the coronavirus.

The goal of social distancing is to ensure no one dies due to a lack of hospital care when the system is overloaded.

Everyone who needed hospital care has received hospital care.

So there....

...have been no additional deaths due to when the mitigation started.

We can't stop people from getting corona without a vaccine.

We can ONLY slow the rate of the number who eventually will die.

We can't stop those who will die from eventually dying.
