The real new takeaways from the article (there are some) are presented in 1 or 2 brief sentences each:

1) Reade had told other people about the incident as early as 1993, long before she made it public.

2) Several of the other women who have complained about Biden believe her.
The NYT has deleted the bizarre sentence that began this thread to make it even clearer that they think that Biden's touching, hugging, & kissing of women against their will do not constitute evidence for a pattern of behavior that might be linked to sexual misconduct.
