Predictably, Tara Reade& #39;s allegation is still being treated unlike any other in the last four years. The NYT actually adds to the corroboration of Reade& #39;s story, yet frames their report around denials by people she never told about the incident.

The NYT tells us over and over again that the large numbers of people she never told about the incident don& #39;t remember it. Denials by his most loyal staff take up a significant amount of the piece. It even goes out of its way to say, "Hey, just so you know, Trump& #39;s worse anyway."
Read back to how the NYT treated Deborah Ramirez& #39;s claim about Brett Kavanaugh. Similar denials from loyalists of the accused, but they come at the end as Ramirez& #39;s story is placed front and centre, her failure to get corroboration treated with sympathy. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/25/us/politics/deborah-ramirez-brett-kavanaugh-allegations.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/2...
An aside: why& #39;s it taken nearly 3 weeks for the NYT to even report this allegation exists? The very day Christine Blasey Ford& #39;s accusation against Kavanaugh broke, when she was just an anonymous woman in a letter, the NYT reported on it *without even seeing the letter*.
Many will conclude that the press has different standards on reporting of sexual assault depending on who is accused, and I can& #39;t really blame them.
