So in my 1st world problem world we’ve not had a cleaner now for 5 weeks. I am a very capable cleaner but have preferred to spend my money on a cleaner rather than some things others might choose.
I have known my husband 20 years, I have never seen him decide to do a chore himself, I have seen him clean a bathroom twice.
We’ve been playing a long game, he’s been avoiding the entire conversation, I’ve been on the gently ‘your shower must be very dirty by now’ course.
He very tactically moved into the ‘you would do it better than me’ zone this week. We both know this is the truth.
And today, whilst he mowed the lawn (as requested not volunteered!), I cleaned his shower.
He however, has made the massive massive school boy error of critiquing my work
He didn’t even make it to the end of his sentence when he realised where it was headed...
He knows it’s going to be an awfully long time before this moment is forgotten
You may want to send him your deepest sympathy
Let the battle recommence.
