Ladies, if you cannot love the man who died on a cross for you, then how do you expect to love the man who will get down on one knee for you?

We are so caught up in wanting to be married and in love, and I completely understand as a single woman praying for marriage as well; HOWEVER, we should first seek the Kingdom of God, for He is the only one who can completely satisfy us, for He is the cup that does not run dry.

If we cannot be faithful to Christ who shed His blood so that we could have a relationship with Him, then we will never be able to love a future husband as Christ does, for in order to have a godly marriage that reflects Christ, we must first love Him in our singleness.

As a single woman, I understand the yearning and the prayers, but God will not allow us to marry a godly man if we cannot love Him faithfully, for a godly man deserves a woman who will place Christ first just as much as we yearn for a man who will love Christ first.

Our singleness is not a curse, but it is a time for us to grow in the Lord one-on-one before allowing someone into our walk with Christ, for marriage is the joining of two souls that are both walking as one towards Christ and His righteousness.

So keep praying for your future husband, but also continue to cultivate a walk with the Lord that constantly drinks deeply from the well so that you will become deeply rooted in His Word and everlasting goodness.
