One year ago today I was coming home from running errands with 4 year old (then 3 year old). I checked my phone for emails/texts, expecting to find something from work. I had 4 emails that day but I only remember who one of them was from. @kianangu had emailed...
...to say she hoped I was having a good day and oh also could we jump on a call next week??? The next few moments were a blur of Oh My Gods and squeals and 4 year old (then 3 year old) didn’t know what was going on but enjoyed the excitement.
I messaged @rosiedanan and @merylwilsner and I don’t really remember what happened except for then I FaceTimed Meryl while they were at work and we squealed together (Meryl also suggested that 4/3 year old should definitely climb on top of the car which the kid tried to do 
)...
)...
But finally, eventually, I was able to pull together a coherent enough response for Kiki and we had our call and the rest as they say is history.
And this morning, I saw this tweet and I felt the goodness to be found in this moment and this day and in how far I’ve come since I told my first story on a page.
