I was really, really into netball as a kid. Tried really hard to be good at it so I could get on the team. But they only wanted the kids who were tall and already good at it, so I never got picked.

also reading this thread makes me feel like maybe I should get tested for asthma??? despite being a relatively fit kid, I always came last in running because it felt like someone was grating the inside of my lungs and throat

is that... not normal? isn't that how running works?
