Something we really wanted to achieve with @LessIsMorgue is creating a piece of queer entertainment that was irreverent, weird, gross, and strange. We wanted to show that being a little edgy and being inclusive and respectful aren’t mutually exclusive. (1/7)
Riley eats a totally innocent dude in episode one and his soul is condemned to haunting the bathroom. People are stuck listening to Mmmbop in Todd’s Heaven forever. People die, often cartoonishly gorily, and it’s played for laughs. But, you’ll never feel excluded (2/7)
Because mainstream media loves queer money but hates queer people, they only give the basic choice between “UwU Soft Baby” content and “Super Depressing Queer Pain.” Unlike the online sphere, which is full of amazing queer creators making awesome art (3/7)
The space we really want to fill is just giving people a show that is unabashedly queer, but gives you all the insane weirdness, larger-than-life, incredibly flawed, dipshit characters, and oddball, off-the-wall humour. A dark comedy that won’t make you feel like crap (4/7)
The online queer artistic landscape is amazing - you can find stories of characters finding themselves in the far reaches of space, or rebelling against oppressive systems in fantastical worlds, or experiencing isolation and terror in arctic bases and haunted houses (5/7)
We want to take you to a basement in Tallahassee, to meet a cheerful lesbian ghost with extremely dated musical tastes, and a paranoid, grumpy non-binary ghoul who may maul you if you happen to wander in unannounced. It’s fun, it’s odd, sometimes it’s beautifully stupid (6/7)
Cause queer audiences deserve all the variety of non-queer audiences - epic fantasies, terrifying horror, compelling sci-fi, hope, farce, and low-fi, Adult Swim style comedies. We’re just extremely glad to be our piece of the overall picture. (7/7)
