Some positives of living in lockdown (I realise some of them are niche):

- seeing your children more;
- ordering a fast-food delivery as an act of civic duty;
- it’s always leg day;
- you can wear just underwear all the time;
- luxuriant beard growth is socially acceptable;
- you can hear birds singing throughout the day;
- the air feels, and is, cleaner;
- reading can transport you further than normal;
- the TLS is still being delivered;
- you value things more accurately (your distant parents; supermarket workers; the NHS);
- Thursday clapping;
- talking to relatives more than before and actually caring how they are;
- the mute function in video calls;
- seeing inside colleagues’ kitchens in video calls;
- the discovery of new box sets;
- the power of radio;
- the permanent reminder never to take things for granted.
