(I’m going to make a thread of random movie facts that I hope you guys don’t know about)
Don cheadle was at his daughters birthday party when he was offered the role of War Machine after Terrence Howard was fired, Disney gave him 2 hours to decide on a five part movie deal (Disney is the Mafia)
Mahershalla was literally teaching ‘Little’ how to swim in the ocean scene on moonlight. Alex Hibbert didn’t know how to swim in real life.
The motorbike fight scene on the bridge on John Wick 3? All CGI. All done in a studio (this is very common btw)
Paranormal Activity 1 cost $15 000 and made $193 million
The dinner table scene on Django where Leonardo cuts his hand after slamming it on the table was real. He didn’t break character and kept going. The blood he smeared on Kerry Washington’s face is his real blood.
Jonah Hill asked Martin Scorsese to audition for the role of Donnie on Wolf of Wall Street. Martin wasn’t even considering him for the role. He also took a pay cut Cos he wanted the role real bad
Aaron Sorkin was the first runner up to direct the social network and so was Fincher. He was reluctant so he waited for Fincher to turn it down and only then would he direct it. (Fincher is know to turn down a lot of work). Fincher ended up accepting the job.
At some point The Uncut Gems script was supposed to be centered around Kobe Bryant. When they sent the script to his agent Kobe had changed his mind about acting and decided that he wanted to produce movies instead. They ended up casting Kevin Garnett
Black Hawk Down (2001) had: Ewan McGregor, Tom Hardy, Eric Bana, Jeremy Piven, Orlando Bloom, Ty Burrell, Nikolaj Coster Waldau and Josh Hartnett in one movie (before most of them were popping)
Correction on this one. The slam was real blood. The smear was another take with fake blood. My mistake
