I had a discussion this morning with my family and a very important question came up; Can you mention one sector in Nigeria that is thriving today because of the good work of the Nigerian government? Something we can show foreigners with pride saying "My government did this!!"
Let's check it.
Entertainment
Music: Basically thriving because of G-Boys who own record labels that give young musicians a platform.

Movies: Still has a looooonnngggg way to go before it can have the same impact as it's music counterpart. So it's arguably not thriving.
Education: Our federal universities are basically a sex for grades hotspot and the best university in Nigeria is private. We still can't boast of the best universities in West Africa talk-more of Africa. So another fail.
Business and Economy: Cryonism is the order of the day and you're just one government policy away from shutting down. The richest men in the country aren't rich because of their ideas but because they know someone.
The average entrepreneur makes money "despite" the Nigerian government not because the government wants you to succeed.
